Adam and Eve are the first human couple and the first temptation associated with the first thought and the first step in the path of knowledge …. There are the semantic concepts that separated man from Nature on the eternal way to perfection: the Garden of Eden, the Tree of Life, the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Adam and Eve are symbols of an unchanging desire for harmony with the Creator. These are the symbols of the inevitable choice between eternal life in blissful ignorance and mortal love leading through pain and suffering to the awareness of one’s place in the universe. This is the desire to sip the forbidden fruit from the Tree of Knowledge. Adam, Eve and the original sin committed by them are symbols of the philosophical choice between knowledge and ignorance, penetration into the deep essence of the of the Creator’s design or detachment from it ….
The fired color apple from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil is a reflection of the confusion and struggle of feelings between interest and fear, between the desire to return to Eden and the quest for inexhaustible knowledge. Original sin acts as a symbol of fertilization with the thought of the brain of Adam and Eve. It is a symbol of awareness of good and evil, a sense of nakedness, insecurity on the eternal path in search of harmony.
At the bottom of the picture are fragments of a broken wooden fence. It symbolizes the acquisition of the Liberty by the cost of lost Paradise. This is the Broken Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil ….
According to the Kabbalistic view, the faces of Adam and Eve are their souls which are located inside the egoistic envelopes, the Klipots, instead them real bodies. The souls develop and grow until they form and leave outside the window of their selfishness.
